Monticello Police: April 17, 2024

On January 9:

● At approximately 1:55 p.m., Officers conducted traffic control for the Monticello Fire Department on N. Main Street at E. Lake Avenue and Main Street and Coates Avenue. Monticello Fire Department responded outside of the village limits for a motor vehicle crash.

On January 11:

● At approximately 4:08 p.m., Officers were requested and responded under mutual aid to the W3400 block of County Hwy EE by the Green County Sheriff’s Office. Officers were requested to assist with a FedEx truck that was in the ditch.

On January 12:

● At approximately 6:00 a.m., Officers responded to the area of County Hwy C and N. Pratt Road in the village for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. No damage or injures were reported or found.

On January 24:

● At approximately 5:39 p.m., Officers received a notification that a vehicle was repossessed by a financial institution in the 500 block of E. Wisconsin Avenue. 

On January 25:

● At approximately 9:18 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop for an observed traffic violation on S. Monroe Street and W. Wisconsin Avenue. As a result of the traffic stop, Juan Manuel Murillo Lopez, 24, of Monticello was cited for the following: no vehicle insurance, display false registration plates, non-registration of a motor vehicle and operate a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

On January 27:

● At approximately 4:33 p.m., Officers were requested to assist the New Glarus Police Department under mutual aid at the police department located in the 300 block of 2nd Street. This was to assisted with a intoxicated female resulting from a possible operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated arrest that the New Glarus Officers had made.
