Shown is a Swiss cow harnessed to a buggy driven by an unidentified boy, while a calf feeds from the cow, taken circa 1910. Written on the buggy is "The Famous Brown Swiss Cow," and at the bottom right of the photo is "Meals at all hours, headquarters 2 miles N.W. of Monticello, Wis. Jac. Voegeli Prop." The Voegeli farm and family have prospered and are now internationally known for their prize Brown Swiss livestock. Other photos can be seen at Monticellohistoricalsociety.org or at the museum on Monticello's Main Street between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
