Otto and Bertha Keller's harness repair and shoe store, circa 1920, was located at the south end of today's Gempeler's Super Market on Monticello's Main Street. On the left, Otto Keller appears to be sewing some harness traces. On the right, employee Dave Zumkerr is repairing some hames, which are curved pieces of iron or wood forming or attached to the collar of a draft horse, to which the traces are attached. The rear of this store also had a well-stocked shoe department.
