Monticello Public School fifth and sixth grades, 1911. Edyth R. Blum-Stoll, the teacher, was 24 years old. Maud Legler, the mother of Lois Hammerly-Iverson and Ralph Hammerly, is the third girl from the left in the second row. The girls are clean and well dressed for the photo, but the boys are less so.
