Monroe woman injured in accident on farm

MONROE - A Monroe woman was hospitalized Friday after an accident on a Town of Monroe farm.

According to a Green County Sheriff report, Cheryl R. McGuire, 46, Monroe, was reportedly pinned in a tractor's mechanism at 11:55 a.m. on a farm in the N4800 block of County J, Town of Monroe.

McGuire was reportedly pinned between a tractor's metal arm and the tractor's bucket.

The Green County Sheriff's Department, Monroe EMS, and the Monticello Fire Department responded to the scene.

Green County EMS chief Dan Nufer said that, although he could not comment as to the extent or nature of McGuire's injuries, she was alert and conscious while she was extricated from the scene.

McGuire was transported by Med Flight to University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. The hospital had no updates on her condition Monday afternoon.
