MONROE - A Monroe teen was found guilty of two felony counts of possessing child pornography, a class I felony, after pleading no contest to the charges Tuesday. Five other counts of possessing child pornography were dismissed.

Scott T. Creed, 17, appeared in court with his attorney Michael Schmid in front of Green County Circuit Judge Thomas J. Vale.

A 60-day pre-sentencing investigation will be conducted by the Department of Probation and Parole prior to the sentencing hearing, set for 8:45 a.m. Nov. 30. The pre-sentencing investigation will include a background check on Creed, followed by the department's recommendation for sentencing.

During testimony, District Attorney Gary Luhman recommended the court to consider probation and other conditions after the pre-sentencing investigation, based on Creed's age, among other things.

Creed was charged with the seven counts on May 10. He was released on a $5,000 signature bond.
