On Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 the Monroe school board:
• Approved a job transfer for Brenda Marr from cafeteria worker at Northside Elementary School to cafeteria worker at Monroe High School. The board also hired Lunn Klitzke as a cafeteria worker at Northside and Sally Huerta as an English Language Learning interpreter at Parkside Elementary School.
• Added Mass Mutual to its list of accepted vendors for the district's 403b plan. Other accepted vendors are Ameriprise, AXA Equitable, Horace Mann, Metlife, Thrivent, Waddell and Reed, Wisconsin Educators Trust and 403b asp. The 403b plan is for governmental workers and is similar to a 401k plan available to private sector employees. There must be at least five employees who want to use a particular vendor to use that company.
• Cancelled the Dec. 22 regular school board meeting due to a lack of anticipated agenda items.
