• Announced Rep. Brett Davis, R-Oregon, was named Legislator of the Year by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards. The Monroe school board nominated Davis for his work in helping reach a compromise deal that allowed virtual schools to continue to operate when a lawsuit last fall threatened to close similar schools throughout the state.

• Approved the transfer of Gail Grossen from the Monroe High School cafeteria to an autism aide position at Northside. Grossen previously worked in that position.
