On Monday, Jan. 12, the Monroe school board:
• Hired Kevin Emberson as custodian at Monroe High School and Chris Sachs as MHS study hall supervisor.
• Hired Crystal Golz to teach fifth grade for the coming semester at Parkside Elementary School. Golz has been serving as a long-term sub in that position for several months.
• Voted to terminate three students from the Monroe Virtual School for failing to meet academic expectations.
