MONROE - At a meeting Monday, the Monroe school board:
• Terminated open enrollment for students of the virtual school, due to its closing, to return them to their resident district.
• Hired new instructional staff members: Anna Hanson, Parkside Elementary School third grade; Jeff Moorman, Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy interventionist; Patrick Kenny, Monroe High School social studies.
• Approved the retirement of Russ Meier, Monroe Middle School custodian.
• Hired new support staff members: Jessica Keehn, Abe Lincoln educational assistant, and Samantha Haug Kubly, Parkside health assistant.
• Accepted the resignation of Jennifer Russell, MHS agriculture.
