TOWN OF MONROE - A Monroe man caused two separate vehicle accidents Monday night.

Andrew F. Le, 27, was cited at 11:07 a.m. for failure to notify police of a crash, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and trespassing after his vehicle left the roadway in the N4000 block of County J, Town of Monroe, and landed in a creek.

Le had fled the scene, and deputies located him after discovering a second crashed vehicle further south on County J off of Lightening Road.

Le reported that the first vehicle was southbound and then left the roadway and hit a fence. Le then attempted to drive up an embankment but was unable to do so. Le then drove the vehicle around a field numerous times trying to find a way out. The vehicle hit several small trees and then became stuck in a creek. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene.

While deputies were investigating the first crash, they located a van that had left the roadway and hit a fence near Lightning Ridge Road. Le drove the van around in a field before coming to rest at the bottom of a hill. The van was moderately damaged and left at the scene to be recovered later.

Le was uninjured in both crashes.

Le was issued another set of citations for failure to report a crash, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and trespassing. Le was released pending court.
