Monroe man injured in three-vehicle crash

TOWN OF JEFFERSON - Injuries were reported following a three-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 11 at County S at about 5 p.m. Friday.

Reports indicate Alexander M. Engels, 20, Monroe, was westbound on Wis. 11 when he hit the back of a vehicle stopped in the westbound lane waiting for another vehicle to turn south onto County S. Engels then collided with Victoria I. Folz, 45, Pacific, Mo.

Folz's vehicle was pushed ahead into a third vehicle, driven by Jeffrey L. Anderson, 55, South Beloit, Illinois, in the westbound lane, which was also waiting for the turning vehicle.

Engels was taken by private vehicle to the hospital for treatment of injuries received in the crash. Folz and Anderson reported no injuries.

Engels' vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Folz's vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Anderson's vehicle received very minor damage and was driven from the scene.

Engels was cited for inattentive driving and released.

Juda Fire Department assisted at the scene.
