TOWN OF CLARNO — A Monroe driver is reported in "fair" condition at a Madison hospital two days after a June 20 rollover crash that seriously injured him.
Brandon S. Richardson, 31, Monroe, was ejected in the crash and taken by Green County EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER.
He was then flown by MedFlight helicopter to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. A hospital spokesperson on June 22 reported his condition as "fair."
According to an investigation by the Green County Sheriff's Office, Richardson was southbound at about 8:15 p.m. in the N2300 block of Bethel Road, just outside Monroe city limits near the intersection with Patterson Road, when he lost control on a curve.
The vehicle went into the ditch and overturned, then collided with an embankment. Richardson was not wearing a seatbelt.
The Monroe Fire Department assisted deputies on scene. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment. It was towed.
