Monroe-Kane to speak at Argyle library

ARGYLE — As part of a weeklong events cosponsored by Johnson Public Library in Darlington and Lafayette County Mental Health Matters, the Argyle Public Library is hosting Charles Monroe-Kane. The event will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 at the Argyle Public Library, upstairs community room, 401 E. Milwaukee St., Argyle.

Monroe-Kane is a Peabody Award winning interviewer and Senior Producer for the national radio program To the Best of Our Knowledge. The show is heard on some 220 NPR stations around the country. He spent almost a decade in Europe before starting his broadcasting career. While in Europe he worked on a variety of projects ranging from starting an Internet Café in Prague to running a record label in Amsterdam. He even ran a circus. He now lives in Madison with his wife Erika and their two children.
