MONROE - In a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Salary and Personnel Committee:
• Approved unanimously the city to bring in a motivational speaker/safety consultant from Safety Connections Inc. to give a safety presentation to department heads and other city personnel. Committee members asked the advisor's fee remain under $300, plus mileage.
• In closed session, discussed possibility of revising 2010 compensation for department heads/non-union personnel.
• In open session, postponed any decision on revising compensation for department heads/non-union personnel for 2010. The issue will be revisited during the 2011 budget process.
