MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Public Safety Committee:
• Approved for the winter season no-parking areas in the 1400 and 1500 block of 21st Avenue and 800 block of 13th Ave.
• Discussed a traffic and pedestrian study done in area of 5th Avenue and 11th Street. Engineering Supervisor Al Gerber was directed to discuss a request for creating a pedestrian crossing in the area with managers at Precision Drive Control, a business in the area. The agenda item will brought back at the next meeting.
A request for parking in alley adjacent to Turner Hall was withdrawn.
