MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Board of Public Works:

- Voted unanimously to send notice of the city's intent to terminate its current agreement with the Green County transfer station. The move puts the city in a negotiation position for a new agreement, according to Reid Stangel, board president.

MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Salary and Personnel Committee:

- Discussed the use of its current city attorney services and how those uses could be improved to give city staff more access to the attorney without increased cost. No action was taken.
