MONROE - At a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Salary and Personnel Committee:
Voted unanimously to waive the 10-day interim between posting internal and public notices of a non-union position vacancy for a city recreation supervisor.
Voted unanimously to revise the city policy manual regarding timing for posting and advertising non-union vacancies.
On a voice vote of 3-1, passed a proposed revision to the city policy, requiring full-time city employees to notify supervisors about any employment taken in addition to their city job ("outside employment"). City policy used to require city approval of outside employment.
MONROE - At a meeting Wednesday, the City of Monroe Plan Commission:
Elected Nate Klassy as the commission's vice-chairman and Ellen Miller as its secretary.
Reviewed the preliminary plans for a proposed warehouse for Wisconsin Storage and Pallet LLC, to be located in Honey Creek Business and Industrial Park.
Recommended adding commercial animal establishments to the list of conditional uses allowed in M-3 industrial park districts. The recommendation now goes to the Judiciary and Ordinance Review Committee.
Recommended the Common Council approve a certified survey map for city property along Wisconsin 69, the land and building once used by the Green County Humane Society.
