MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Information Technology Committee:

- Approved the purchase of a projector system for the council chambers for $1,865.

Chairman Michael Boyce was absent.

MONROE - At a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Board of Public Works:

- Approved a permit for Kwik Trip to widen a driveway and install bollards.

- Approved bills from Whitney Tree Service for $5,490 for tree and stump removals; Veolia Environmental Service for $1,020 for March recycling; Hasse Surveying for $4,580 for the Lakeside Heights project and $750 for work at Wisconsin 69 and 8th Street; and E & N Hughes, Inc. for $6,900 for Lakeside Heights project tree removal.

- Recommended to the council to approve a pond dredge and temporary access agreement with Monroe Country Club, Inc.

- Accepted bids and recommend to the council to award a contract to Mini-Dredge Inc., East Grand Forks, Minn., for country club pond dredging for $122,580. Six bids, ranging from $122,580 to $215,300, were submitted for the project.

MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Public Safety Committee:

- Recommend to the council to approve upcoming special events: Carenet Pregnancy Center of Green County Walk for Life; Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Great Strides Walk; Main Street Monroe Pirates on the Square Kick-Off; Main Street Monroe Concerts on the Square; UW Alumni Club/UW Scholarship Foundation, Inc. of Green County Red Run Charity Walk/Run; and Monroe Chamber of Commerce Market on the Square.

- Approved the installation of two additional handicapped parking spaces on the west side of the 1400 block of 20th Avenue.

- Police Chief Fred Kelley and Fire Chief Daryl Rausch led a discussion and orientation for new committee members.

- Tere Dunlap
