MONROE - At a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Common Council:
Passed unanimously the consent agenda approving $137,000 for bills and granting miscellaneous licenses.
Approved unanimously the promotion of Paul Meudt to a full-time laborer position in the parks department, at an hourly rate of $17.91 effective June 9.
Approved unanimously hiring Matt Skibba as the recreation supervisor at a starting annual salary of $42,800, effective June 23.
Approved unanimously the transfer of Jim Belke to the parks department at an hourly rate of $17.91, and of Brad Zimmerman to the streets department at an hourly rate of $17.91, effective June 23.

Approved unanimously change order No. 9 with 13 items for the wastewater treatment facility upgrade. These changes increase the contract price by $156,000. All changes to the contract price now total an increase of $655,000. The original contract price was $24.8 million.
Voted unanimously to hire Ehlers financial advisors for $2,500 to review the eligibility of proposed TID 7 project plans, to project the cash flow based on these developments, and to determine options to improve the economic feasibility of TID 7. The study focuses on replacing the current downtown parking ramp.
Alderman Tom Miller announced the airport's new terminal is now open to the public, the old terminal has been removed, and landscaping is proceeding.
Rex Ewald gave an update on the layout of the city's developing technology and capabilities to navigate, share and retrieve files.
