Heard the reading of a letter from The Monroe Arts Center, favoring the proposed senior housing project's alternate site.
Joined Mayor Ross in thanking Alderman Dan Henke for his run for the state Assembly position.
Approved unanimously $614,500 to pay bills.
Authorized unanimously one-way, west-bound traffic in the 2000 block of 15th Street from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on school days.
Approved unanimously a special-event permit for Main Street Lighted Christmas Parade, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26 in downtown Monroe. Alderman Thurston Hanson thanked Monroe Main Street for "calling it what it is, a Christmas parade." Hanson had voted against the parade permit for several years, protesting the name "Holiday Parade."
Authorized unanimously a Wisconsin community block grant application for 8th and 9th Street water and sewer main replacement.
Approved unanimously an airport operations contract for 2011 with Touch & Go Aviations, Inc. for an annual sum of $25,700 and commissions on aircraft fuel sales at $0.15 per gallon.
Authorized unanimously joining Wisconsin Rx Cooperative for pharmacy benefits for employee health insurance plan. Carol Stamm, city clerk, reported at the Insurance Committee meeting that the change is projected to save the city about $27,000 for 2011.
Approved unanimously an optional voluntary vision insurance plan through Always Care for employees at employees' own expense.
