Missing Monroe woman has been found

MONROE - An 86-year-old woman with a history of confusion who was reported missing from her Monroe home late Tuesday, May 15, has been found, according to police.

The Times reported this morning that Dorothy V. Derendinger left her residence in the 700 block of 19th Street sometime between 10:50 a.m. and 8 p.m. Her daughter, who lives with her, told police she returned home from work to find her mother and her car gone.

As of 11 a.m., Monroe police confirmed Derendinger has been located.
