TOWN OF WALDWICK — A 77-year-old Mineral Point man died in an ATV crash Friday afternoon, May 30.

Dennis L. McCarville was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on County Line Road by Iowa County Coroner Wendell Hamlin.

According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, McCarville was operating a four-wheeler on a steep hillside while spraying weeds around 3 p.m. when the ATV overturned and landed on top of him.

Hollandale Fire, Mineral Point and Green County EMS, Blanchardville Fire/EMS and Hollandale First Responders assisted the Sheriff’s Office.

The state Department of Natural Resources is leading the investigation.
