MONROE - Barbara Miller announced her candidacy for Clerk of Circuit Court on Tuesday, March 25.
Miller has been serving as the Clerk of Circuit Court in Green County since January, when Judge Beer and Judge Vale appointed her to the position following the retirement of Carol Thompson.
She worked 17 years as Chief Deputy Clerk of Circuit Court under former clerks Thompson and Donna Heiser.
Miller has more than 29 years of experience working under three clerks and five judges. Her experience includes the various aspects of court, including traffic, child support, small claims, civil, criminal and family procedures, as well as previously serving as Judge Beer's Judicial Assistant.
She is married to Harold Miller Jr., and they have three children, Brittany, Jeremy and Chelsea.
The election for Clerk of Court is in November.
