MONROE - The Monroe High School is hosting an eighth-grade open house that will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27 at the high school, 1600 26th St.
The event is open to all current eighth-graders and their families. The intent of the event is to welcome eighth-grade students and their families and to answer questions about what Monroe High School has to offer.
Principal Chris Medenwaldt will be in the Performing Arts Center at 5 p.m. to explain the Aligned by Design curricular model. Students and families are able to walk about the building and talk with teachers and see their classrooms. Families can also stop at student services and get their questions answered about registration and can visit special Education for answers on IEP's.
Two sessions will be held regarding post-secondary education.
