• The City of Monroe Board of Public Works will meet at 4:30 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include authorization to seek bids for 2008 street reclamation.

• The City of Monroe Public Safety Committee will meet at 5 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include review letter from BID regarding special events permits and possibly take action.

• The City of Monroe Main Street Design Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Cafe Claudeen. Agenda items include status of revised motion to board about bike lane.

• The Village of Albany Street and Utility Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. at village hall. Agenda items include utility fees review and recommendations.

TUESDAY, JUNE 3>

• The City of Monroe Board of Public Works and Finance & Taxation Committee will hold a joint meeting at 6:30 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include discuss and possibly take action on special assessment policies and options in particular the 16th Avenue project.

• The City of Monroe Salary & Personnel Committee will meet at 6:45 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include review letter from Public Administration Associates, LLC regarding vacant Administrator position and possibly take action.

• The City of Monroe Judiciary and Ordinance Review Committee will meet at 7 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include discuss and possibly take action request from Wal-Mart for ordinance change to increase quota on "Class A" Fermented Malt and Liquor licenses.

• The Monroe City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at city hall. Agenda items include resolution approving new special events application and manual.

• The Darlington Community School District School Board will meet at 8 p.m. at the elementary/middle school board room. Agenda items include approval of summer school programs and contracts.

• The Housing Authority for the City of Monroe will meet at 4 p.m. at the community room of Churchill Woods Apartments, 800 13th Avenue. Agenda items include approve employee annual raise.

THURSDAY, JUNE 5>

• The Village of Albany Plan Commission/Community Development Authority will meet at 6:30 p.m. at village hall. Agenda items include reviews of clean-up in village and animal ordinances.

• The Lafayette County Bargaining Committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the courthouse County Board room. Agenda items include discussion and possible action regarding a contract for a consultant at the Manor nursing home.
