JANESVILLE - Janesville's National Guard unit will brief employers and the community Wednesday night about its expected mobilization as part of the 32nd Brigade's 2009 deployment to Iraq. The briefing is part of an Information Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. May 28 at the National Guard Armory, 11 Palmer Dr., Janesville.
Some members of the unit live and work in Monroe and Green County.
Employers of deploying Guard members are encouraged to attend. A briefing for employers will begin at 6 p.m. to present information on training events and expected mobilization dates, soldiers' rights under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and the role of ESGR, the Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
