MINERAL POINT — Trinity Episcopal Church Mineral Point recently announced the arrival of Reverend Christian Maxfield as rector beginning Sept. 1, 2022.

Fr. Christian received his Master of Divinity degree from Nashotah House Theological Seminary in May 2007. He served in churches in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Florida before moving back to Wisconsin with his wife Kate and children Hannah (7) and Colin (5). They said they are excited to return to the Driftless area that they love.

Their families are from Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. They love to be outside and enjoy nature. Their favorite activities are sledding, snowball fights, ice skating, snowboarding, and their new love is hanging out on the front porch of the rectory ready to talk with whomever might walk by or drive up.

Fr. Christian will be celebrating Eucharist every first and third Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church Mineral Point. He will be celebrating Eucharist every second and fourth Sunday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Platteville. Fr. Christian will also be serving as Chaplain at UW-Platteville.

A welcoming event for the Maxfields will be announced at a future date and will be open to the public.
