MADISON - State Sen. Howard Marklein, R-Spring Green, will host listening sessions in January.
Reps. Ed Brooks, Todd Novak and Travis Tranel are planning to participate in the sessions that are in their corresponding districts.
This area's listening sessions are set for Jan. 23 in the following communities:
n Darlington: 10 to 11:30 a.m., Town Bank, 15815 Wisconsin 81, Darlington.
n Monroe: 1 to 2:30 p.m., Monroe City Hall, 1110 18th Ave., Monroe.
The format for the listening sessions is designed so that every attendee has equal time to share ideas and thoughts in a respectful environment. Depending on the number of attendees, participants may be asked to sign-up for a 3-minute time slot to be certain to give as many attendees the chance to speak as possible.
Legislative staff will be on hand to coordinate each listening session to maximize audience participation and input.
