SOUTH WAYNE - The name of the 36-year-old South Wayne man in custody for threatening his wife with a handgun on Monday, March 3 has been released.

Theodore A. Bauer was arrested as a result of a 911 call from his ex-wife, who alleged Bauer had put a handgun to her head. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department had Black Hawk School lock-down as a precautionary measure because the complainant lives about a block away from the school.

Bauer was found at his residence on the 3000 block of Fritzges Road, Wayne Township, and arrested. He did not have a firearm in his possession at the time of his arrest.

Lafayette County Sheriff Scott Pedley said in an email that the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should contact his office to speak with a detective or Pedley. The phone number is 608-776-4870.
