MONROE — An Evansville man was arrested for drunken driving after crashing his motorcycle south of Brodhead Tuesday, Sept. 24, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident was reported at about 6:20 p.m. the W1200 block of State Line Road, Town of Spring Grove.

Carey N. Bliss, 63, was westbound when he crashed into the north ditch, deputies found. 

He reported injuries. He was not wearing a helmet but was wearing eye protection. The motorcycle was towed with disabling damage.

Deputies arrested Bliss on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol and cited him for failure to maintain control of a vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He was later released to a responsible party pending court.
