MONROE — An Illinois man faces 26 felony charges, including child sexual exploitation and possession of child pornography, related to images he shared on Snapchat of a 16-year-girl at a rural Browntown residence in December, according to Green County Circuit Court records.
Donald “Tyler” Tiberius David Pitman, 20, Winslow, was also charged June 7 with a misdemeanor for alleged sex with the girl. His preliminary hearing is July 31.
He signed a $20,000 surety bond in the case. He is court-ordered as conditions of bond to have no unsupervised contact with anyone younger than 18 and to not use social media, including but not limited to Facebook, Skype, Snapchat and Instagram.
According to the criminal complaint, which is based on interviews and evidence collected by a detective with the Green County Sheriff’s Office:
The girl told police she was hanging out with Pitman on Dec. 23 when he and two older men at the residence gave her alcohol and bribed her with marijuana to take off her clothes. She estimated the other men were in their late 30s or early 40s.
She said all three men had sexual intercourse with her. Some of the sexual contact started out as consensual but became non-consensual, she said. She told one man to stop because he didn’t have a condom, but he continued. She told another to get off her because he was suffocating her with his weight, but he continued. They all knew she was only 16, she said.
She described the night as “a mess” and “a catastrophe” and that she was “throwing up all night due to drinking” and felt worthless. She said Pitman wanted her to do things that made her uncomfortable.
The detective documented 15 images of her that Pitman shared via his Snapchat account throughout the night.
When interviewed by police, Pitman said the girl was not his “type,” they didn’t have sex and that she had “come onto” him and he had told her no.
The other men are not identified in the criminal complaint and have not been charged. Pitman also has pending felony burglary and theft cases from 2018 alleging he stole scrap metal and other items.
