Man arrested in Argyle on gun and drug charges

DARLINGTON - Police arrested a convicted felon at an Argyle residence Friday who was "in possession of numerous firearms along with a very large supply of ammunition," as well as drugs, according to a news release issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department. Anthony J. Nolan, 39, faces charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of illegal narcotics, authorities said. The 1968 Gun Control Act forbids felons from owning guns.
