DARLINGTON - An Iowa man was arrested Saturday night in Darlington for driving while intoxicated, his fourth offense.
Richard Lee Olmstead, 47, Camanche, Iowa, was arrested after a traffic stop on Main Street. He was also cited for driving without a valid driver's license, possession of drug paraphernalia and synthetic marijuana and for having an open intoxicant in the vehicle. He was jailed pending court.
A passenger, Valerie Joanne Reed, 29, Davenport, Iowa, was also cited for having an open intoxicant in the vehicle. She was released pending court.
Online Iowa State records indicate Olmstead was convicted of DWI in October 2000, January 2004 and December 2008.
