MONROE - The Monroe Arts Center will sponsor a dining experience on par with many great cities from 6 to 9 p .m. on Monday, May 3, at the Ludlow Mansion in Monroe. This annual May fundraiser titled A Taste of Spring- "Savor the Arts," will combine an elegant evening of fine cuisine, award-winning wines and brews, savory Wisconsin cheeses, and a live auction of fine art media.
The public is invited to attend the event, which will consist of a superb five-course served dinner showcasing the culinary talents of Wave Kasprzak, chef and co-owner of The Dining Room at 209 Main in Monticello. Kasprzak is known for combining ethnic influences and flavors in order to produce his signature dishes.
An array of items for the silent auction will be on display and available for bidding throughout the evening. A live fine art auction, conducted by guest auctioneer Hans Bernet of Monroe, will include two- and three-dimensional items including limited edition original watercolor, acrylic, and oil paintings, and photographic prints, provided by nationally-known artists. There will also be live music.
The cost to attend A Taste of Spring is $75 per individual or $400 for a table of eight. For reservations, contact the Monroe Arts Center at (608) 325-5700. The reservation deadline is Monday, April 26.
