MONROE - Monroe Arts Center will hold open auditions for the upcoming 20th anniversary Showcase of Talent from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 14, and from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 15 in MAC's Gunderson Stiles Concert Hall, 1315 11th St., Monroe.

This event showcases southern Wisconsin's and northern Illinois's wealth of highly talented individuals and groups in an evening of family entertainment.

Auditions are open to all ages and size groups. Acts that are primarily auditory and translate well to a radio-listening audience are being sought. Entertainment in all genres of music, comedy acts, as well as other types of acts such as dance, will be considered. Performers are required to audition a well-prepared act in its entirety, up to a maximum of three minutes in length. If an accompanist is required for the audition, bring sheet music. Relevant costumes should be worn to the audition. Showcase of Talent is not limited to children, but they are welcome to audition.

Showcase of Talent performances will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 12 and 13, 2018, in the Monroe High School Performing Arts Center. General admission tickets for this event are $10 for adults and $5 for students ages 18 and under, and are available at the Monroe Arts Center box office. For additional audition details, to request an audition form or to purchase tickets, call the Monroe Arts Center at 608-325-5700 or visit www.monroeartscenter.com.
