The Driftless Area Artists group, formed in 2002, was created by visual artists in Green County looking for a way to connect with one another and to discuss and encourage art in the area. Their name is inspired by the driftless glacial areas of southern Wisconsin and the beautiful landscape settings. Beginning as the Art Alliance of Green County, the group of artists, from novices to professionals, has met on a continuous basis for critique, advice and inspiration.

The exhibit has been made possible by Monroe Arts Center corporate underwriter: Colony Brands, Inc.; and season media underwriters: Monroe Publishing, LLC and Big Radio; with additional support from Michael and Shelley Muranyi, John and Mary Frantz, Pete Guenther and Barb Woodriff, and Lee and Chris Knuteson.
