MONROE — The Green County Master Gardeners Association (GCMGA) will present their 15th Annual Gardening Symposium “Garden Inspirations for All Seasons — Healthy & Fit — The Garden and You” next month. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 9 at the Albany Lions Club, 402 N Cincinnati Street.
Both experienced and novice gardeners are encouraged to attend this public seminar. Participants will receive lunch, refreshments and resource materials with their paid registration.
Early registration for the Annual Gardening Symposium is $40 and closes on Feb. 23. The price is more for late registration and walk-ins.

15th Annual Master Gardeners Symposium
The speakers and topics will include:
■ Tonya Gratz, Green Co Land & Water Conservation Dept., “Soiling Your Undies”, will explain how to improve soil with an interesting technique.
■ Brian Hudelson, director of the UW-Madison Plant Disease Diagnostic Clinic, “Confessions of a Black Thumb”, will be sharing his knowledge on plant disease problems and what can be done about it. He will be answer questions during a special Q&A session.
■ Parker Havens, owner/operator of Havens Tree Care, “Selecting Trees & Shrubs for Your Landscape”, will help guests choose the right trees and shrubs for their landscape.
■ Ryan Carroll, Director of Wellness and Life Enrichment for the New Glarus Home, “Fitness for Gardening Lifestyles and Changes”, will teach how to safely garden.
■ Heather Lynch, Conservation Ambassador for the Women, Food & Agricultural Network, “Winter Gardening & Seed Sowing”, will show how to get a head start on garden planting by winter sowing ideas.
