MONROE - The Monroe Arts Center's annual fundraiser, "A Taste of Spring - Savor the Arts," will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 3, at the Ludlow Mansion. The event will include a five-course served dinner, showcasing the culinary talents of area chefs.
The entrée has been created by Chef Wave Kasprzak of The Dining Room at 209 Main in Monticello; the appetizer and dessert are by Chefs Sarah Jarrett and Dan Mueller of Pancho & Lefty's Outlaw Grill and the Monroe Country Club; the salad is by Chefs Claudia and Karessa Wilson of Café Claudeen; and the Palate Refresher is by Chef Eric Rufer of Peppercorn Banquets and Catering. Wines and beers specially selected to compliment each of the courses will be served throughout the evening.
After the dinner a fine art live auction featuring two and three-dimensional artwork by artists including Dennis Oostdik, Zane Williams, Jonathan Wilde, Deborah Meyer, Eoin Breadon, and Jack Sery, will take place.
A silent auction and live music by Madison musicians Dave Stoler and Anders Svanoe are also scheduled.
