Black Tie Gala postponed
MONROE - A Black Tie Gala Event, an event scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12 as a fund-raiser for Hometown Wellness Care, has been postponed until early 2012. The guest speaker for the event was to be LeRoy Butler, a Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame defensive back.
A representative for the organization said the group's fundraiser chairperson is "recovering from a personal tragedy" but "the diligent efforts made thus far to raise funds for HTWC, and the Black Tie Gala Event, will continue."
