United Way moves offices downtown

MONROE - The United Way of Green County has recently moved its offices to the second floor of the Wisconsin Community Bank, 1717 10th St.

The bank is providing office space for the United Way as a community service.

Black Tie Gala postponed

MONROE - A Black Tie Gala Event, an event scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12 as a fund-raiser for Hometown Wellness Care, has been postponed until early 2012. The guest speaker for the event was to be LeRoy Butler, a Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame defensive back.

A representative for the organization said the group's fundraiser chairperson is "recovering from a personal tragedy" but "the diligent efforts made thus far to raise funds for HTWC, and the Black Tie Gala Event, will continue."

Orangeville

Community dinner slated for Nov. 24

ORANGEVILLE - A free community-wide Thanksgiving dinner will be held from 12 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 24 at the Orangeville United Methodist Church, 111 S. East St.

The dinner is free and open to the public.

Free transportation to and from the church will be offered to those who live in Orangeville.

Those who cannot attend and would like dinner delivered can call the church at (815) 789-3170 to schedule a delivery time.
