Monroe Main Street continues to sell Christmas lights for a tree on the Square in Monroe. The group's goal is to put 1,500 large C9 commercial LED lights on the tree outside the Courthouse. Those interested can sponsor a bulb for $1 or a string of lights for $25. Donations are tax deductible and can be sent to Monroe Chamber of Commerce, 1505 9th St., Monroe, WI, 53566. Businesses accepting donations for the project are: Joanne's Dress Shop, Pancho & Lefty's, Radio Shack, Kutter Harley Davidson, Monroe Floral, das Baumhaus, and Café Claudeen's.
