MONROE - Author Chad Lewis will share tales about gangsters of the 1920s and 1930s and their connections to Wisconsin in a presentation "Wisconsin's Gangster Past" at 6 p.m. May 15 at the Monroe Public Library.

These hardened criminals traveled through Wisconsin and although some used the area as an easy getaway from Chicago, others liked spending vacation time in the state.

Lewis is a paranormal researcher and author for Unexplained Research. He has a Master of Science in applied psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He has traveled the world in search of the paranormal. From tracking vampires in Transylvania and chasing the chupacabras in Puerto Rico, to searching for the elusive monster in Loch Ness and pursuing ghosts in Ireland's castles, Lewis brings more than 18 years of research experience to his presentations.
