Green Bay Packer Hall of Famer LeRoy Butler is coming to Monroe Saturday, Nov. 12 to kick off a fundraiser for HomeTown Wellness Care, Inc., a Wisconsin-based, non-profit health care organization seeking to provided preventative, routine medical, dental and mental health care at low cost, affordable fees.
Butler will be the guest speaker at the gala, showing his support for HTWC and its proposed clinic.
A second-round draft pick for the Packers in 1990, Butler was a four-time Pro Bowler, including both years the team played in the Super Bowl at the end of the 1996 and 1997 NFL seasons. The defensive back finished his career after playing in 181 games with a total of 721 tackles, 38 interceptions, and 20.5 sacks. He is credited with creating the "Lambeau Leap."
A fundraiser dinner, called a Black Tie Gala Affair, is from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at Ludlow Mansion-Peppercorn Banquets in Monroe.
Tickets are $50. Dresses, suits and ties are acceptable attire. In addition to a dinner buffet, there will also be live music, a cash bar and silent auction. Those attending this event are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to help support local area food banks.
