DARLINGTON - The Lafayette County Fair is set begin today and continue through Sunday, July 15.

Little Texas will headline the Friday night show. The band, which was founded in 1988, has had numerous Top Ten hits, including "My Love," "Some Guys Have All the Love," "You and Forever and Me," and "God Blessed Texas." Their debut album went gold, followed by the double platinum album "Big Time" and platinum album "Kick A Little." Grandstand charge to Little Texas is $20.

Regular gate admission prices are $8 per day; there is no charge on Friday. Admission for children ages 9 to 12 is $2 and there is no charge for children 8 and under. Season tickets are $20 for adults, and $15 for youth 13 to 16.

The fair will start charging admission at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday; at 10 a.m. on Saturday; and at 9 am. on Sunday. The fee to park is $1.

Admission to the fair include free grandstand shows each day except Friday.

The fair is held at the Lafayette County Fairgrounds, 701 E. Louisa St., Darlington.

- 9 a.m.: Judging sheep, followed by Little Britches and Showmanship

- 9 a.m.: Dairy judging followed by Showmanship

- 3 p.m.: Wine judging

- 7 p.m.: Beef heifer show

- 6:45 p.m.: Brook Garrison
