DARLINGTON — A recent fall morning in Lafayette County was the backdrop for a successful electronics recycling event. The Electronics Recycling event sponsored by LG Electronics USA, Kuusakoski, U.S. and the Lafayette Development Corporation was deemed both necessary and successful by several resident participants. The event brought in 38,368 pounds (almost 20 tons) of obsolete electronics, with 326 cars driving through the line.
“The turnout for this event was impressive,” said Chris Proctor, Kuusakoski CEO. “It is great to see so many residents taking advantage of the opportunity to recycle their old electronics with us. We were excited to partner with LG in sponsoring this event and appreciate all of the work Lafayette County did in assisting us with event promotion.”
