MONROE - The Kiwanis Easter egg hunt for children in grades 4 and younger will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7 at the Twining Park bandshell. The egg hunt will be held at Monroe High School gym in case of inclement weather.
There will be no waiting this year for the Easter egg hunt. As children arrive, they will receive an Easter basket compliments of Colony Brands. Each child will go into a designated area with their basket and get a stuffed green frog from Colony Brands, Easter toys and two plastic eggs. Monroe Kiwanis donated the toys and eggs.
The Easter basket benefit will be held along with the Easter egg hunt. Bidding will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Twining Park bandshell. It will be held at Monroe High School gym in case of inclement weather.
Baskets will be filled with goodies including gift certificates, shirts and cheese. Winners will be announced at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the basket benefit will be used for improvements at the Twining Park west ball field.
