JUDA –— Juda School District and Juda’s Math Team are pleased to announce the results of the 11th Annual Six Rivers East Conference Math Meet held Feb. 21 at Juda High School. Albany, Barneveld, Black Hawk, Monticello and host school Juda competed that afternoon representing the Six Rivers East conference. Approximately 150 students competed, attempting over 5,000 math problems. 

Event organizer and Juda Math Teacher Scott Anderson felt the meet went well and appreciates the volunteers, teachers and students from the schools who helped make it a success. 

The math meet was organized into two Levels, freshmen and sophomores were Level I and junior and seniors were Level II. Top scorers were recognized as first team and second team all-conference at both levels.

Seniors and juniors, Level II, first team: Trent Anderson, Juda; Yilian Liu, Juda; Dogukan Yetgin, Juda; Hunter Bredeson, Black Hawk; Rece Shelton, Black Hawk; Natalie Leuzinger, Black Hawk; Taylor Adkins, Juda; and Justice Falbe, Juda. Kristyana Kovalikova, Juda; Haley Mueller, Albany; Nicole Kamholz, Juda; Tristan Geisking, Juda; and Sam Allard, Monticello.

Sophomores and freshman, Level II, first team: Marques Flood, Albany; Luke McCullough, Juda; Allen Hauser, Monticello; Bailey Hagen, Black Hawk; Iris Boechm, Barneveld; Delaney Holland, Black Hawk; Macey Freitag, Monticello. 

Sophomores and freshman, Level I, second team: CJ Kamholz, Juda; Royce Bauer, Juda; Natalie Roe, Monticello; Thatcher Schliem, Black Hawk, Bailey Butler, Black Hawk; Lucas Heiser, Monticello; Elijah Shelton, Black Hawk; Alyssa Lange, Black Hawk; and Katie Nusbaum, Juda.

The meet’s top performer was Trent Anderson from Juda. Juda led the way placing 13 students in Level I and Level II All-Conference, Black Hawk placed 11.

The overall team results for the meet were: Third place — Albany High School, second place — Black Hawk High School and first place and conference champions — Juda High School.
