JUDA - At its meeting Dec. 9, the Juda school district board viewed a presentation by FFA students who attended the national FFA convention in Louisville in October.
It also accepted a donation of a Robust Sweet 16 wood lathe from Jeff Wideman, a chemical sprayer and a generator from Wideman/Knox LLC., and supplies and labor to the school from Mahlkuch Electric, all for the agriculture class.
The board approved policy 422, Full-time Public School Open Enrollment and policy 432 rule, Compulsory School Attendance, and approved the first reading of policy 884, Public Complaints about School Personnel.
The board authorized Traci Davis to proceed with the official resolution needed for the April referendum. The referendum will include a question-seeking authority for an operational referendum in the amount of $150,000 and a building referendum of $6.33 million. The official resolution will be approved at the January board meeting.
