JUDA - At the board meeting June 8, the Juda school board:
Heard a report from Traci Davis on the sixth-grade trip to Canyon Camp. Davis also presented the Seclusion and Restraint report for the 2015-16 school year. She also spoke to the board regarding the GED02 program.
Approved a recommendation from the Collaboration Committee for a one-half percent salary increase for teaching with no change in the HRA. It also approved support staff increases as presented.
Authorized bookkeeper Pam Green to transfer funds as needed from the credit line to checking account as needed.
Approved student fees and meal prices for the 2016-17 school year.
Heard a presentation from school counselor Sinem Bertling on the future implementation of Academic and Career Planning in the district.
Changed band and choir courses to a full credit per year.
Approved contracts for the 2016-17 school year for occupational therapy services through the Monroe Clinic: Cindy Lederman for physical therapy; Stephanie Woloshine for speech and therapy; and CESA 2 for Professional Resource Services.
Heard updates from Davis on the state trust fund loans and building projects.
Approved the second readings for policies on the fund balance and borrowing.
Approved five new open enrollments in to the district and denied one.
Took no actions coming out of executive session.
