Internet safety event set

MONROE - The Monroe school district has rescheduled a program titled "Internet, Cell Phone and Social Media Safety" for Wednesday, April 20.

The program, originally scheduled for Monday, Feb. 21, was postponed due to inclement weather.

The presenter will be Eric Szatkowski, a special agent with the Wisconsin Department of Justice/Division of Criminal Investigation. Szatkowski has earned a reputation as one of the top officers in the nation in apprehending sexual predators of children who use the Internet and/or cell phones to seduce or exploit children.

He gives presentations on this topic to professionals in law enforcement, corrections, child welfare and education, as well as students. During the day, he will speak to children in fourth grade through high school. At 6 p.m., he will give an adults-only presentation for adults at Monroe High School's Performing Arts Center.
